The average treatment time is 9 - 12 months, but depending on the individual, Invisalign treatment can take anywhere between 6 - 18 months.

Invisalign clear aligners are an innovative way of straightening your teeth.
The near invisible aligners fit comfortably over your teeth, gently guiding them into their new position over a period of time, depending on the severity of your case.
The aligners are virtually invisible so no one will ever need to know you’re wearing them, and they’re very easy to live with because they allow for normal mouth function and speech. The aligners are designed to be removed so that you can brush your teeth thoroughly, so it’s easier to maintain a good level of oral hygiene, and the clear plastic is comfortable to wear because there are no sharp edges to catch your tongue or gums, which makes them one of the more comfortable orthodontic options.
You’ll receive a set of aligners each time you visit your dentist, and each aligner is numbered in sequence and needs to be changed every 2 weeks as your teeth adjust to the movement.
All you need to do is replace the existing aligner with the next aligner in the sequence, and every 4-6 weeks you’ll need to come back to your Diamond provider dentist so that we can monitor how your treatment is progressing, and receive your next set of aligners.
Once you’ve reached the last of your aligners and your dentist is happy with the results, your treatment will be complete. We recommend you wear a special Invisalign retainer as often as you can after your treatment has ended in order to keep your newly straight teeth nicely in line! These retainers will be included in your package.

Unfortunately not. Your aligners can be stained by heavily pigmented foods and drinks and damaged by chewing particularly hard foods while you’re wearing them, so you need to take them out to eat, and ideally to drink anything other than water.
If you want to reach your smile goals within the treatment plan timeframe, you need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours per day, which means only taking them out to eat or drink.
Of course! Your aligners might take some getting used to, but they’re very thin and light, so once you’re familiar with how they feel in your mouth, you’ll be speaking as you normally would.
