CEREC combines a camera, computer, and milling instrument into one machine allowing tooth restorations to be created in the dentist office, all within a single visit.

When tooth decay or injury causes an infection in the pulp of the tooth, a root canal treatment, also known as endodontics, is necessary. Ignoring the infection can result in an abscess and facial swelling, causing intense pain, so a root canal procedure is performed to extract the infected pulp, and sanitise and seal the tooth.
